These cases describe the Manila Water Company, a company created by the Ayala Corporation when it won the franchise to deliver Manila's municipal water supply. The challenge of changing the culture of the previously public-owned and government run company to a commercially viable operation is addressed. The A case describes the early days of MWC and asks students to role-play the President of MWC and describe what they would do next. The B cases describes what changes the President made.
